The Grinnell Water Works Complex is located in Charlotte's hottest area of urban renewal—The West Morehead Corridor. Frederick Grinnell, an engineer and inventor, was a forefather of “sensitive” sprinkler systems in the late 1800's and chose Charlotte for a branch office and manufacturing site. In 1929 the company moved into its West Morehead office and warehouse, which positioned the company in Charlotte's most progressive area for large manufacturing and industrial businesses.

Today, 75 years later, The Grinnell Water Works Complex serves as office suites and a unique special event venue. From the entrance guests can catch a view of Charlotte's magnificent skyline and the Bank of America Stadium. The lobby area showcases the eclectic building style with 30' ceilings of tongue and grove beaded wood flanked by tall windows, steel beams that support the tall roof structure and slate floors in natural tones.
